Mary Helen Noles was a daughter of Cliff Noles and Millie Crumpton Noles of Randolph Co., AL. She married Euell Junior Pollard on September 25, 1945. They had two children during their marriage: Edward and Diane.

According to the Social Security Index and her obituary from The Anniston Star, Mary Helen's year of birth was 1927 rather than 1926 as reflected on her tombstone.

Mary Helen was a member of the Ranburne First Baptist Church where she was the church secretary for 35 years. She was a retired employee of LaMar Manufacturing Co.

Mrs. Pollard was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Leonard Noles and Wallace Noles. Survivors include her husband, Euell Junior Pollard; a son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Johnnie Pollard; a daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Henry McLendon; a grandson and his wife, Jason and Jessica Pollard; two granddaughters and their husbands, Dawn and Walker Booth, Wendi and Scott Powers; three brothers, Jerry Noles, Roy Noles, and Cecil Noles; and a sister, Gladys Dewberry.
