Mrs. Della Webber, 78, died
Saturday, Dec. 19, 1959, in a
Concord Nursing home. Born
Nov. 18, 1881 in Union County,
she was a daughter of the late
Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Williams.
Mrs. Webber was for several
years, prior to her retirement
in 1946, employed by J. B.
Ivey & Co. and Tate Brown Co.
She was a member of the Wat-
son Baptist Church in Union
County . Survivors include four
daughters, Mrs. W. B.
Presson and Mrs. Charles Brents (Blennie),
both of Charlotte; Mrs. John L.
(Ernestine)Covington Jr.of
Jacksonville, NC and Mrs. E.C.
(Ila) James of Tampa, Fla.;
three sons, James B.Helms of
Jacksonville, Fla., Theron J. Helms
of Columbus, Ga., and
W. Grady Helms of Charlotte;
22 grandchildren; 22 great-
grandchildren; one sister, Mrs.
Ellis Green of El Dorado, Ark.;
and a brother, John Williams-
of Marshville, N. C. Funeral
services will be held at 11 a.m.
Monday at the McEwen West
Chapel with Dr. L. R. Akers,
pastor of Calvary Methodist
Church officiating. Interment
will be in Sharon Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers will be
J. H. (Cy) Dillon; Tom L. Disher,
George W. Dooley, J.C. King,
J.O. Mock and W.K. Price. The
family will be at a daughter's
home, Mrs. W.B. Presson,
518 Clarice Ave. Charlotte.
The body will remain at McEwen's
until hour of service.
Mrs. Webber was preceeded in death
by her second husband, Bradley Helms, born abt. 1876 to Hiram Helms and Permelia Broome. They were married 31 December 1899. Bradley Helms was mortally injured at the South Atlantic Waste Company where he worked when he was caught in a drive belt pulley on August 1, 1908.
Third husband was George C. Webber, born in Russia in 1876. Both his parents were German. He taught music and managed a service station, and lived in Huntersville NC (1930 Census). They were married Sept. 1, 1913.
Her first husband was James Little.
