Born in Cooter, he is the son of the (late)Claude and Clara Fuller O'Kane.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Sue Ann Rush O'Kane; two brothers, Erick O'Kane and Ted O'Kane; and three sisters, Claudyne Razor, Belle Norrid and Melba Copley.
He was a retired machinist for Nibco and a member of Freewill Baptist Church.
He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.
He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan, and loved semi-pro baseball.
He was a very devoted husband, father, and grandfather who was loved by all his nieces and nephews.
Mr. O'Kane leaves two daughters: Cathy O'Kane of Blytheville and Judy Liles and her husband Curtis of Oklahoma City, Okla.; One brother, Larry O'Kane and his wife Laura of Haynes City, Fla.; His sister-in-law, Mary O'Kane of Utica, Mich.; Three sisters: Mary Caldwell, Charlotte O'Kane, and Glenda O'Kane, all of Cooter; and Two grandchildren: Brandon Vestal and his special friend Jackie Robben of Los Angeles, Calif., and Callen Liles of Altus, Okla.
Funeral services for Mr. O'Kane were held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 8, at the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel in Blytheville.
Burial was at the #8 Cemetery in Cooter.
