James (Jock) Murdick, 73, of Snover passed away Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000, at Port Huron
Hospital. He was born Dec. 15, 1926, in Snover, son of the late Isaac and Iva (Fisher)
Murdick. He married Marjorie Elizabeth Gilbert on Sept. 18, 1948, in Port Huron. Mr.
Murdick was a lifelong farmer. He was an employee of Snover Stamping for over 31
years. He served his country during World War II in the U.S. Navy. He is survived by
his wife, Marjorie; two sons, Jim Murdick and his wife, Linda, of Snover, and John
Murdick and his wife, Debra, of Bay Port; two daughters, JoAnn Tyson of Pennsylvania
and Janet Hoyt of Snover; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandson; three brothers, Kenneth
Murdick and his wife, Gladys, of Rhode Island, and Otis "Butch" Murdick of Ruby, and
Jerry Murdick and his wife, Lillian, of Detour Village. He was preceded in death by two
brothers, George "Bob" Murdick and Roger Murdick. Funeral services will take place at
11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2000, at Hacker Funeral Parlors, Sandusky with Elder Judy
Doerr of Ubly officiating. Burial will be in Johnson Cemetery, Snover. Visitation will be
2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.
