ROCK FALLS - Jacqueline Sue Adams, 74, of Rock Falls, died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2011, at Pleasant View Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Morrison. She was a case-worker for the Illinois Department of Human Services, retiring in 2005.
She was born March 16, 1937, in Tampico, the daughter of William and Nellie (Whitlock) Skaggs. She married Gerald F. Adams June 22, 1956, in Sterling. He died June 22, 1958. She was a member of First Christian Church of Sterling. She enjoyed traveling, and her cats.
She is survived by her friends; and her special friends, Nancy Kulas of Sterling and Michele Miller Ford of Aberdeen Md.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her son, Gerald Lee Adams in 1981; and special friend, Gene Givens.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by the service at 11 a.m. Friday at First Christian Church, Sterling, with the Rev. David Yonker officiating. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling. Arrangements were completed by McDonald Funeral Homes.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Happy Tails Animal Shelter or the American Cancer Society are requested.
