Jean is survived by her daughter Clare Brubaker; son Brian Henry; and 5 grandchildren, Daniel, Laura, Heather, Taylor, Anna and many nieces and nephews. She graduated as salutatorian from Clayton Central School, Clayton, NY in 1949. Jean also graduated top of her class from Central City Business Institute, Syracuse, NY in 1951. Jean worked for the law office of Doris Scott in Elkton, MD for many years and moved to Clearwater, in 1983. She then owned and operated her own business, Countryside Executive Services. In 2007 she moved to Nuevo California. She was an avid gardener and genealogist. Jean loved to travel, research and write about her family history. Jean also loved spending time with Dolores and Dan Whipkey and the numerous friends she had. She was also an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Shreveport, LA. Jean had a very strong will and didn't have an ounce of quit in her. She was one to always complete what she started. She stayed strong until the end. Jean did not wish for a ceremony but her children will each have a day to honor and celebrate their mother's life. Family and friends are welcome. Please contact us for details. She once told me she had a small pocket watch that had belonged to Zuba Gotham. She will
