MRS. SCOTT DEAD; FUNERAL TOMORROW
Services in Presbyterian Church at 10:30 in the morning.
Mrs. Anna Scott, widow of George C. Scott, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. B. Wiggans, 323 West Sixth Street, at 1:45 o'clock yesterday afternoon following an illness of about three months. The funeral service will be held in the Presbyterian Church at 10:30 tomorrow morning. They will be conducted by the Rev. Fred Shaw, the minister. Interment will be in Elmwood. The funeral party will leave the home at 10:15. Mrs. Scott was 60 years old, having been born May 24, 1862, in Melbourne, Quebec, Canada, where she was married April 22, 1878. Mr. and Mrs. Scott came to Chanute in 1891 and she made her home here ever since. Mr. Scott died seven years ago as the result of an accident while engaged in the discharge of duty as a locomotive engineer for the Santa Fe Railroad. She is survived by a son and five daughters. The son is George A. Scott of Sedalia, MO.; the daughters, Mrs. James E. Moore, 229 West Fourth Street; Mrs. William Wegman, 14 North Grant Avenue; Mrs. A. N. Curtis, 501 West Fifth Street, and Mrs. A. B. Wiggans, 323 West Sixth Street, all from this city and Mrs. Bert Young of Buffalo, KS. Mrs. Scott was a member of Hulda Parker Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, of the Grand International Auxiliary to the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and of the Degree of Honor.
