Sgt. on muster of Capt. Robt. Brown's Co. of the 2nd Regiment, 2nd Brigade, of the East Florida Mounted Militia, commanded by Col. W.J.Mills. This company was mustered 6-11-1837 at Fort Lancaster; was at Fort White 9-25-1837. Discharged at Fort Gilleland 12-18-1837.

Elder Futch was a preacher affiliated with the Mt. Enon Missionary Baptist Church, Plant City, FL.

Husband of Nancy Raulerson. Remarried to Delilah Hunter after death of Nancy in 1848. Father of Eleanor Jane Futch (1839). Son of Jacob Futch and Mary Jane Deloach.
