Connor (his original name) was just a little mixed breed puppy rescued from a severely abusive owner by animal control and put into foster care with fur babies. He was adopted by a sweet loving lady named Lara and lived with her, her husband Andrea, son Piero and the late Georgio the cat for the rest of his all too short life, finally being hit and killed by an automobile in December of 2011. Lara renamed him after her favorite country singer with the rich, deep, booming voice and bad a--ed attitude, but kept his first name for the continuity.
Johnny also had the same attitude, but a great big heart to go along with it. Johnny had so many talents, and was such a smart dog. He dearly loved his family, and they loved him right back. He became another grandchild or grandpuppy to his human grandparents, and created a great big gaping hole in the hearts of a lot of people when he left us. Sorely missed and fondly remembered forever by his friends and family, we will all be waiting to see you again Johnny . . . just 'round the bend.
