Virginia moved from Sedalia to Parsons, Kansas as a baby with her family. She grew up and attended school in Parsons and graduated from Parsons High School in 1935. She married William Prough on Dec 14 1947 at Cottage Grove, Lane County, Oregon. Both Virginia and Bill Prough worked at Boeing in Seattle, Wash. for many years.
