Thomas J. and his older brother, Andrew Decatur Beaty were living in Hawkinsville, Pulaski Co, Ga. in approx 1825, as orphans...Later Court records name a man by the name of Darling Jones as guardian of the Beaty children, Thomas J. and Andrew Decatur Beaty....A book, "The Ancestors of The Beaty & Simpson Families" shows the parents of Thomas J. & Andrew D. as Thomas Beaty who died before 6 Jul 1824 in Pulaski Co, Ga. and Nancy Brantley… She married as her 2nd husband, Darling Jones…. A copy of this book may be found at the Huxford Genealogical Library in Homerville, Ga.
