They are the parents of Elizabeth, James, Mary Emma and Virginia "Jennie" Frances Glover.
Porter is a veteran of the Civil War, having served in the Confederate Army with the Virginia 2nd Infantry Regiment in Company D. He enlisted on April 16, 1862.
He will always be remembered by all of the families who knew and loved him.
