ZAROOGIAN, NORMA R. (OWEN), 81, of Warwick, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, December 6, 2011. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Arthur J. Owen and Martha C. (Heden) Owen. She was the wife of the late Herbert A. Zaroogian. Mrs. Zaroogian was a Homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She joined the Order of the Eastern Star Sincerity Chapter in 1980 where she served as Matron six times. A member of Greenwood Community Church Presbyterian, she taught Sunday school for three years, and volunteered for Meals on Wheels and at Kent Nursing Home. She leaves her nine beloved children: Frank Burlingham of Voluntown, CT, George R. Zaroogian of Voluntown, CT, Thomas T. Zaroogian of Warwick, Timothy R. Zaroogian of North Kingstown, Herbert A. Zaroogian, Jr. of West Greenwich, Linda J. Horvath of Cranston, Sandra L. Burgan of California, Nancy N. Zaroogian of East Lake, OH, and Suzanne E. Zaroogian of North Kingstown. Cherished grandmother of 19 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
