Anne, 81, of Atlantic County, passed away Thursday while at her home with Joanne and Wayne C. Newell. She succumbed to mesothilioma, the disease which claimed her husband, Nicholas, three years ago.

She was born in Spinelli, Italy, the daughter of Dominick and Matilda Cardamone, and raised in New York. After meeting and marrying Nick, their future brought them to southern New Jersey where they raised their family of three children, Stephen, Joanne and Jim.

Anne was an active member of the Women's Club of Linwood and the American Home Group. During these years she made many lifelong friends. She was also known by many as a fine seamstress. Her talents included designing, dressmaking, and home decor. Though she did this as a business for over 30 years, she especially enjoyed creating things for family and friends. On occasion she became the "seamstress for the band" first when Nick played the drums with the "Vibratones" followed by 14 years at the Vienna Inn. During that time, Anne was able to enjoy her other passion, which was dancing. Anne had an endless supply of dance partners. This was a special time in their lives that brought them together with many couples who became cherished friends.

Anne and Nick were married for 54 years and to all who knew her she was the consummate daughter, sister, wife, mom, aunt, grandmom, great-grandmom and friend. Family included Stephen Tullio and wife, Leslie, Joanne Newell and her husband, Wayne, and their children, Julie Emory (Matt), and Clark, and Jim and his children, Cara and her children Isabel and Vivianrose, and Lauren and her fiance, Kyle Wagner.

Although residing in New Jersey since the 1950's, their cherished roots remained with their family from New York including sisters, Marie Templeton and husband Bill, Gilda Tullio and husband, Eugene, Fran Templeton and husband Bob, and Lorraine Goedtel and husband, Richard, as well as many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Over the years Anne has shared the love of many friends from Linwood and throughout the years especially Bobbie and Bill, Roxie, Laura, the Lunch-bunch, Margie, and Julie and Robert. The love she and her family received from her Seaville Methodist Church family formed around them.

The care and compassion given to Anne by the staff and Drs. Hyman, Costatine, Weber, and Dave was truly appreciated as was the care extended by Holy Redeemer Hospice Home Care.

Anne's life will be celebrated in a sacred service at the Seaville United Methodist Church, Route 9 in Seaville. Burial will take place immediately following at the Seaville Cemetery.
