While putting up hay on the Dowling ranch Saturday forenoon, the derrick on the stack gave way and the pole in falling rebounded and struck Robert Anderson on the head causing a blood clot on the brain from which he died Sunday night. He was taken to Denver in hopes of saving his life, but in vain, he never regained consciousness. He and his brother Ross have been running the Dowlin ranch for two or three years. Robert H. Anderson was married to Miss Anderson of York, Nebraska, about two years ago, who survives him together with a father and mother who arrived here from Kansas Wednesday in time for the funeral at 2 o'clock that afternoon at Laird M.E. Church, Rev. Kerr of Haigler was in charge of the services.
Interment at Grandview Cemetery. The bereaved relatives have the sympathy of the entire community in this dark hour of sorrow.
