Shelly worked as a waitress and had been employed at Hacienda for nine years. She enjoyed scrapbooking, volunteering at the Kokomo Rescue Mission and the Open Arms Shelter as well as helping with "Walk a Mile In My Shoes" program. She was a caregiver to her friend Dennis and always gave of herself to her family and friends. She loved her grandchildren and the time she was able to spend with them.
Survivors include her husband, Rick McLochlin; her mother and stepfather, Mary and Dennis Grammer; two sisters, Teresa M (Jeff) Moon, Elizabeth (Danny) Chapel; a brother, Willis W. (Kris) Shallenberger; a brother-in-law, Robert (Sandy) Burton; two sisters-in-law, Claudia (Hank) Dietzel, Sharon Field; two daughters, Tammy (Tom) Turley, Ricci (James) Cornell; one son, Dustin (Kim) McLochlin; eight grandchildren and one on the way; many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; a special great-nephew, Cameron and a dear friend, Dennis West.
She was preceded in death by her father; her first husband, Rick Hossler; one brother, Bobby Shallenberger; two sisters, Sherri Moser and Rita Reed.
Funeral services are 1 p.m. Thursday at Shirley and Stout Funeral Home, Jefferson Street Chapel, 414 W. Jefferson St., with Pastor Tony Manis officiating. Burial will follow in Kokomo Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends are invited to call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
