Donald Wayne Burge, Jr. - Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday January 7, 2009 at White Funeral Home, Poplarville for Mr. Donald Wayne Burge, Jr., 45 years, of Gautier, Mississippi who died Sunday January 4, 2009 in Tulane University Medical in New Orleans, Louisiana. Brother Chris Lawrence and Brother Mike Reid will officiate at the service. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Poplarville. A native of Tylertown, Mississippi he was born January 18, 1963 to Donald Wayne Burge, Sr. and Gwen McCardle Burge. He was a telecommunications operator with AT&T, a member of Springhill Baptist Church, and held dual memberships in Singing River Masonic Lodge, Gautier, Mississippi and Sherrard Byrd Masonic Lodge in Poplarville. His grandparents, Curtis Thaxton, Laura Thaxton, Clara Burge, and Hilary Burge precede him death. Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Burge of Gautier, Mississippi; one daughter, Taylor Loftus of Gautier, Mississippi; parents, Donald Wayne Burge, Sr. and Gwen Burge of Poplarville, Mississippi; one sister, Jessica Burge of Poplarville, Mississippi; mother-in-law, Debra Dees of Gautier, Mississippi; two brothers-in-law, Brandon Franovich of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, and David Wirick and his wife Heather of Moss Point, Mississippi; three uncles, Curtis Thaxton and his wife Linda of Carriere, Mississippi, Virgil E. Burge and his wife Glenda, and Viron Burge and his wife Mary, both of Poplarville, Mississippi. Visitation was held Tuesday January 6, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at White Funeral Home, Poplarville. Memorial contributions may be directed to Sherrard Byrd Masonic Lodge or Singing River Masonic Lodge Benevolent Fund. White Funeral Home, Poplarville is in charge of arrangements.
