Marjorie was born November 18, 1933 in Buchanan, Michigan, one of 15 children born to Oliver and Rachel (Snider) Simpson. She married John Mac Lemons on June 18, 1949 in Heston, Indiana. Marjorie was employed by Gerber Babywear in Three Oaks and ran Little Lemon Tree Day Care in Three Oaks for many years. Marjorie loved tropical fish and spending time with her seven grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Cricket Sue Johnson of Three Oaks; John Bert (Theresa) Lemons of Mitchell, Indiana and MeLinda Mae Rowles of Three Oaks; grandchildren; Greg, Bob, Bo, Dezie, Meria, Bert and Lidia; step grandchildren, Marsha and Steve; sisters, Jeanie (Terry) ByBee and Syble (John) Clark; brothers Bob (Micky) Simpson and John Simpson and sisters-in-law, Neoma Simpson; Mae Hood and Ruey (Joe) Bleacher; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; son-in-law, R.J. Johnson; sisters, Blondy; Sis; Georgie; Toots; and Kay; brothers, Claude, Frank, Legs, Ronny and Mike.
Celebration of life services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, November 3, 2008 at Pobocik Funeral Home, Three Oaks with Charles McKelvy as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Buchanan. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Sunday, at the funeral home.
