Canton, IL - Ruby Umbarger, 89, of Canton died at 7:10 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, 2011, at Graham Hospital.

She was born April 25, 1922 in Canton, the daughter of Phillip and Lillian E. Ripper. She married Fred L. Umbarger in Newport, Washington on November 6, 1944. He preceded her in death on December 11, 1996.

Surviving are two sons, David L. (Cynthia) Umbarger and Wendell W. (Cathy) Umbarger; one brother, William (Melba) J. Ripper; and one grandchild, Leah.

She was preceded in death by one grandchild, Brian.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Canton.
