Elizabeth Raines
Mr.s Elizabeth Raines, 84, died at 6 p.m., June 9 at Mercy Hospital after being a patient there 11 days. Born at New London, Jan. 31, 1872. Harriet Elizabeth Raines was the daughter of Ralph and Lucy Andrews Allsup.
She was married in 1895 to Clark I. Raines, who preceded her in death Sept 8 1914. She was a member of Lowell Baptist Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Maude L. Pierce and Mrs. Genevieve Asher, both of Burlington, Mrs. Myra Williamson, and a son, Homer Raines, both of New London; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grand children; two brothers, James Allsup of Manville, Wyo., and William Winter Allsup, Burlington. Five sisters preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at Elliot chapel in New London at 3 p.m., Rev. Edward D. Byrd officiating. Burial will be in Brooks Cemetery.
