She was born in Boonsboro, the daughter of Nathaniel and Manzello Reed Gross and had resided in Hagerstown most of her life. She was a member of the Women of the Moose and Women's Auxiliary of Redmen. She was the last generation of her family.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs Viola V Bond, Hagerstown, Mrs Louise A Pleasant and Mrs Mary M Spindler, both of Baltimore, sons, Charles l, Jack B, Ross L and James w, all of Hagerstown, 20 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren.
Services will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. at the Norment Funeral Home. The Rev Dr Wilbur S Hogevell will officiate; burial in Boonsboro Cemetery.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 7 to 9.
