Elwood W. "ED" Abbuhl, 82, of 1064 Miller Ave. NW, New Philadelphia, died this morning in Union Hospital at Dover after a brief illness.
Born at Roxford , O., he was a son of the late John W. and Linnie Baldwin Abbuhl, and owned and operated the former Abbuhl Garage at New Philadelphia. He was a member of Dover First United Methodist Church, New Philadelphia Eagle Lodge and Tuscarawas Valley Pioneer Power Assn., and was a charter member of Atwood Yacht Club. His wife, the former Edna M. Snyder, died Feb. 9, 1984.
Surviving are a brother, David B. of New Philadelphia and four nephews and two nieces, two brothers are deceased.
Services will be held Friday at 1:30 in Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home at New Philadelphia with Rev. Robert Richardson officiating Interment will be in Dover Burial Park at a later date. Calling hours are Thursday anytime after 2 p.m. with family present from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
