Mrs. Earl Abbet, 29, Dies After Six Months Illness; Rites Monday Mrs. Earl Abbet, 29, nee Lillian Des Jarlais, former Lena resident, died Friday noon at her home here, 1412 18th street, following an illness of the past six months.
Funeral services will be held from the Sacred Heart Catholic church Monday morning at 9 o'clock, with the Rev. Joseph Gabryszek officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross cemetery. The body is at the Klein and Stangel, Inc., funeral home where it may be viewed from 7 o'clock this evening. The rosary will be recited at the funeral home at 7:45 Sunday evening.
Born in Lena
Mrs. Abbet was born in Lena, Dec. 24, 1916, the daughter of the late George and Margaret Brouchoud Des Jarlais. She graduated from the Lena high school with the class of 1935 and in 1936, following the death of her mother, moved to Two Rivers with her father and other members of the family. Her father died here the past October.
She was employed as a stenographer in the office of the Hamilton Manufacturing company here and later worked at the Paragon Electric company. She was married to Earl Abbet of this city at the Sacred Heart Catholic church, June 19, 1943, and the couple have made their home here ever since.
She was a member of the auxiliary of the Eleven Gold Star Post No.1248, Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Leaves Baby Son
Mrs. Abbet is survived by her husband and a son, eight months of age. There are three brothers, and six sisters. (names omitted for privacy)
