of 1035 Altgeld Street. Second Lieutenant Fox served with the 330th Fighter Squadron, 329th Fighter Group. He was killed while piloting P-38F Lightning #41-2345, when his aircraft collided with a towed target near the Naval Air Station North Island, at San Diego, California.
