Charles Giles was the oldest of nine children. He started Giles Tire Company in 1919 at Breckenridge and was active in the business until entering the hospital two months ago.
He married Miss Effie Rowland in 1921 and she preceded him in death.
He married her sister, Mrs. Era Mae Helton. She preceded him in death.
He then married Nona Rogers.
He was a veteran of World War I.
Mr. Giles was a member of the Elliott Street Church of Christ.
Survived by two daughters - Mrs. Manly "Louise" Ballard of Abilene and Mrs. Charles "Betty" Sanders of Albuquerque, NM; three grandsons - Brent and David Ballard and Stephen Sanders; two sisters - Mrs. Darrell "Edith" Collins of Freeport and Mrs. Glen "Alice" Edens of Granbury; two brothers - Roy of Granbury and Clarence of Roanoke; four great-grandchildren.
