Anna R. Grimm, age 92, of 13024 Twin Elder Road, Two Rivers, died unexpectedly on Saturday, May 8, 2010, while visiting her daughter in Antigo.

Anna was born on Aug. 19, 1917, in Two Rivers, a daughter of the late Thomas and Frances (Wiese) Swada. She attended Sacred Heart Parochial School and the Rangeline Country School. Prior to her marriage, she worked at the Two Rivers Hospital and on the home farm to help support the family. On Nov. 15, 1941, she married Norbert Grimm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Two Rivers. He preceded her in death on Aug. 12, 1991. Anna and Norbert farmed in the town of Two Creeks for many years, until their retirement. She was very involved with the homemakers; active with the Altar Society of Sacred Heart Church, and later the Ladies of St. Peter the Fisherman; she loved to play cards and was a member of several card clubs; and, above all, loved the time spent with her grandkids and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by one son, Tom Grimm of Two Rivers; one daughter, Bonnie Slattery of Bryant, Wis.; three grandchildren, Brian (Sarah) Slattery, Jeffrey (Jenna) Slattery, Kathleen (Russell) Dahlke; and seven great-grandchildren, Ireland, Anders, Riley, Robert, Meygan, Samuel and Hoyt. She is further survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Ralph Bodwin, Two Rivers; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Robert Slattery; one brother, Cornelius Swada; three sisters, Theresa (Louis) Kubichek, Esther (Albert) Jaeckel, and Rose (Howard) Wellhoefer; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
