Florence J. Bodwin, age 87, of Two Rivers, died Monday afternoon, Jan. 27, 2003, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 31, 2003, at St. Peter The Fisherman Catholic Church - St. Luke Site, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. William O’Brien with burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.
Florence was born on Oct. 23, 1915, in the town of Carlton, daughter of the late Paul and Julia Petrick Koehler. She was a graduate of the Algoma Teachers College. On May 25, 1943, she married Everett E. Bodwin in Kewaunee. He preceded her in death on Dec. 18, 1980. Florence taught at a one-room schoolhouse in the town of Carlton and was also employed at Riverside Seafoods, the Point Beach Nuclear Power Plant and Kozy Interiors. She was a member of the Ladies of St. Luke and Two Rivers Homemakers Club. She was an accomplished quilter, seamstress and an avid gardener who also enjoyed traveling.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law: William and Judi Bodwin, Glenn and Carolyn Bodwin, all of Two Rivers; two daughters: Nancy Stichert, Casper, Wyo.; and Bonnie Rulseh, McHenry, Ill.; eight grandchildren: Jeff Bodwin, Diana Bodwin, Brad Bodwin, Lisa Bodwin, Sara Johnson, Neil Stichert, Mark Stichert and Erika Rulseh; one great-granddaughter: London; a brother: Arden Koehler, Kewaunee. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by one brother: Arthur Koehler and two sisters: Grace Koehler and Alice Gagnon.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Peter The Fisherman Catholic Church - St. Luke Site, Two Rivers, Friday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. The Klein & Stangel Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Two Rivers, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
