The News (Frederick, MD) August 30, 1904
Mrs. J.R. Lillard, wife of Deputy Sheriff Lillard, of Barnesville, Montgomery county, who was brought to the Frederick City Hospital Sunday evening for treatment, died there at 8 o'clock last night after an operation. She is survived by her husband and seven children; Frank Lillard, telegraph agent at Potomac Junction, D.C., for the Baltimore and Ohio; Fannie and Robert Lillard and Mrs. C. O. Warfield, of Barnesville; Mrs. Odell Reid, at Boyds; Mrs. Ida Cook, of Roanoke, Va.; Ernest Lillard, of Rockville.
The remains were prepared for burial by W.H.B. Etchison, undertaker, who sent them to Barnesville this morning.
