She graduated from Westwood High School where she was active in the performing chorus group. She studied cosmetology. She moved to Utica, NY in 1997 and worked at United Cerebral Palsy for several years. She later became employed as a Certified Nurse's Assistant at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare.
