William enlisted May 31, 1861 at Atlanta, GA. for 1 year. His Company Muster Rolls showed he was present from May to Dec. 1861. On February 27, 1862 he was sent to the hospital. He died at Hospital, Richmond, Va. March 14, 1862. His widow Elizabeth Gann filed claims in Paulding Co., Ga., she received $27.13.
