Gladys E. Clarke, 85, died Saturday, Dec. 23, 1898 at Rock Haven Nursing Home after a long illness.

She was born Oct. 3, 1904 in Albion Prairie, the daughter of Giles and Annie (Wilson) Clarke. Miss Clarke spent most of her life in Washington, D. C., where she was a secretary for the Seventh Day Adventist Conference. She returned to Milton in 1981. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

She is survived by two brothers, Alvin Clarke and Harvey (Vera) Clarke, both of Milton. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Holliday and Fern Clarke.

Funeral services were Wednesday, Dec. 27 at Albrecht Funeral Home, Highway 26 in Milton. Burial was in Milton Junction Cemetery.
