CAUTION: It should be noted that Margaret's 1st husband, John Evans Anderson Blanton, has often been mis-recorded by family historians as John Evanston Blanton. Not only does his death certificate list him as John Evans Blanton but so does the Family Bible.

Margaret "Marge" was married 5 times but only to 4 men. She married Bud Jones 2 times. Although her married name at the time of her death was Taylor, she was buried beside Bud Jones.

Marge's first husband and father of 10 of her 11 children was John Evans Blanton who died from TB in 1918.

Marge's 2nd husband was Elbert J. Seals. He died Jan 1925 Margaret and E. J. had one son, Archie Seals, died around age 4 when he was struck by a moving vehicle. His grave is not marked and no one living in 1998-2004 knew the name of the Bryan Co., OK cemetery where Archie was buried. One granddaughter, Kathryn Gaynelle "Kay" Blanton, who was just about Archie's age, told me she was present when the accident happened that took Archie's life. She recalled that the night before he was buried it had rained all night long. The unpaved, dirt road to the cemetery was very muddy. That to a four (approximately) year old, the drive seemed to take forever. She thought that little Archie died just a few days after Aunt Ruby, (Ruby Mae Blanton Winkler) was buried in Texas. Kay said Archie was buried in a country cemetery in Oklahoma but could not recall which one.

Marge's 3rd and 4th husband was William F. "Bud" Jones*. Not long after their 1st marriage Marge's and Bud's children's differences forced them to live in separate households. After their children were grown, Bud and Margaret remarried. Bud died in 1956.

In 1957 Margaret married Sidney J. Taylor. He died in 1962.

For reasons unknown to living family members, Marge was not buried in Fannin Co., TX beside John E.A. Blanton, who was the father of all her children, except for little Archie Seals. Instead, she was buried beside Bud Jones under the Jones surname.

*In mid 1990's-2000's, Marge's living grandchildren thought Bud's name was Walter F. Jones. In those days, most census and marriage records were not on line. The cemetery had been enlarged, fences moved and grandchildren who had attended her funeral were unable to find the grave because they couldn't recall which husband she was buried beside. The funeral home (Coffee) records did not contain information showing where she was buried. Around 2004, one of the volunteers at the genealogy facility in Calera, Bryan County, helped me (Ruth Hasten Walsh) locate the grave by introducing me to a lady who had attended Marge's funeral and was working on the enumeration of the cemetery. rahw
