Woodrow "Woody" Barnard (1939 - 2011)

Woody Barnard, 72, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2011.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Sunday at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst.

Interment: Arwine Cemetery.

Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Woody loved his family. He loved to race, ride and show his motorcycles. He won numerous trophies and awards. He loved his Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed his computers, CBs, old western movies, boating and fishing and operating a tractor.

His strong faith in God showed deeply when he faced the burdens of cancer, strokes and diabetes. His personal motto through chemo and radiation was "It's just a minor inconvenience of life."

Woody never met a stranger and always chose a hug over a handshake. He will be greatly missed by all those who love him dearly.
