She was born on Friday, January 27, 1939, in Middletown, OH., daughter of the late Alfred and Louise Coyle Downs.
She was a homemaker, devoting her life to care for her family and her home.
She was united in marriage to Randolph Potter in 1955. This union was blessed with three children.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Randolph Potter, and two sons, Ronnie Keith Potter and Randy Potter.
Survivors include her daughter, Michelle Potter of Hazel Green, KY., four grandchildren, Stephanie Hope Bargo and husband Joey of Lexington, KY., Kenneth Brandon Potter and wife Sara of West Liberty, KY., Trista Shawn Hunt and husband Joseph of Ezel, KY., and Tessa Dawn Preece of Hazel Green, KY., three great-grandchildren, Bennett Bargo, Jack Connor Bargo, and Kensley Isabella Potter, and one sister, Pauline Benson of Eaton, OH.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, December 18, 2011, at the Potter Funeral Home, with Rev. Danny Collins officiating. Burial to follow in the Potter Cemetery, West Liberty, KY.
Visitation will be at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, December 17, 2011, at the funeral home.
