Mrs. Phyllis E. , 78, formerly of 2011 E. River St., Two Rivers, died Friday afternoon, Feb. 21, at Park Lawn Nursing Home, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 11 am Monday at Grace Congregational Church, Two Rivers. The Rev. Daniel Wright will officiate and burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.
Mrs. Karbowski was born June 27, 1907 at Two Rivers, daughter of the late Peter P. and Elizabeth Landt Weber. She was married to Stanley B. Karbowski Jr., Sept. 7, 1943 at Two Rivers.
Mrs. Karbowski was a Switchboard Operator in the original Telephone Company in Two Rivers and then for many years for General Telephone Company. She also clerked for Plantico Drug Store from 1958 until her retirement.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Kay A. and Perry Prochnow of Manitowoc; a brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Avis Weber of Two Rivers; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Mrs. Dorothy Adler of Manitowoc and Ruth and Donald Sauve of Two Rivers and two grandchildren, Kelly and Nathan Gamble. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dec. 31, 1957.
Friends may call at Klein and Stangel Inc., Funeral Home, Two Rivers, 4 pm to 8 pm Sunday and from 10 am Monday until the time of services at the church.
