Fondly known as Betty to friends and family, she graduated from Lancaster Catholic High School and later from the former Lancaster Business School. During her early years, she worked for her family s business, the former Clerico s Flower Shop of Lancaster. Later, she worked in accounting services for many years.
Betty was an active member of Mary, Mother of the Church of Mount Joy. An accomplished and talented musician, she played the piano and organ. She also enjoyed gardening, designing floral arrangements, and crocheting.
Born September 22, 1919 in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine Morningstar Clerico.
She is survived by a son, James Dantro; a son-in-law, Vincent Judith of Southampton; 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter Dee Dantro Judith in 1988.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at St. Anne s Retirement Community Chapel, 3952 Columbia Ave., Columbia, PA on Saturday, March 12, 2005 at 11 AM with Fr. Paul Oye as Celebrant. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of her family in St. Joseph s New Cemetery, Lancaster. Memorial Contributions in memory of Betty, may be directed to St Anne s Retirement Community, 3295 Columbia Ave., Columbia, PA 17512. Sheetz Funeral Home, Mount Joy.
