Born March 13, 1916, in Bicknell, he was the son of William H. and Eva Marie (Lace) Smith. He was a retired meat cutter, having worked for Godsey's Market, Roy Burn's Market and Louden's Grocery, all in Bloomington, in addition to the Jerry Quackenbush Grocery in Bedford. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda (Sims) Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Donald Lee Smith in 1957.
Services will be 10:30 am Friday at Allen Funeral Home in Bloomington. Burial will be at Green Hill Cemetery in Bedford.
