Obit: Syracuse Newspaper - July 20, 1987 - Cuyler - Coleman L. Hyer, 60, of Cuyler-Lincklaen Road, died Saturday evening at Cortland Memorial Hospital. Mr. Hyer, was a lifetime resident of Cuyler and was a farmer. He was a member of the Cuyler Methodist Church and the Grange. Surviving are his wife, Edna Ryan Hyer; three sons, Clinton of Truxton, Calvin, of Macon, Ga., and Coleman L. Hyer, Jr. of Cuyler; a daughter, Colleen Leete, of Cortland; four grandchildren; a brother, Doyle Hyer, of Port Byron, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Services are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Smith Funeral Home, DeRuyter. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
