AGAWAM, Mass. -- Doris K. (Crowe) McCave, 79, of 11 Wilson St., died Sunday in a local nursing home. Born in England, she lived in Agawam 50 years and was employed as an inspector for the Perkins Machine and Gear Co., retiring in 1947. She was a member of St. David's Episcopal Church, past president of the American Legion Auxiliary of Agawam and past secretary of Walter Skerr Barracks Auxiliary, Veterans of World War I. She was the widow of Herbert W. McCave. She leaves a son, Donald C. of Agawam; a daughter, Vera M. Moore of Agawam; a sister, Vera M. Whittingham of England, and four grandchildren. The funeral will be Wednesday at the Curran-Jones Funeral Home, 745 Cooper St., and in St. David's Episcopal Church with burial in Springfield Street Cemetery, Feeding Hills.
