FRANK SCOTT NORFLEET, age 64, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2011, in Houston, Texas. He was born on November 17, 1947, in LeCompte, Louisiana, to Frank and Vermelle Norfleet. Stationed in Denver Colorado, from 1967-1971, Frank honorably served in the United States Air Force, during the Vietnam War, earning the rank of Sergeant. He graduated from the University of Houston in 1974, with a BBA in Finance, while working part time at The Methodist Hospital. He then joined the Zimmerman Clinic, until 1977. Frank then began in Patient Business Services, at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, where he worked for thirty-four years, until his retirement on August 31, 2011. He loved working with patients and there was never a problem Frank couldn't solve. He loved his staff and co-workers and was a mentor for many. Frank was well-respected and admired by everyone who crossed his path. He was a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association for many years and a proud sponsor of the Houston SPCA. Frank loved his family, his pets, music of all kinds, cooking, gardening, and being around people. He was a magnet of attention and never met a stranger he didn't know. Frank was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Dent Wells Norfleet . He is survived by his wife of thirty-two years, Patricia Danos Norfleet; son, William Meadors and wife Dusty; step-daughter, Tricia Gaskins and husband Bobby; grandchildren, Kimberly Ann Meadors and Lance Mathew Gaskins; aunt, Florence Murphy; cousins, Sharon and Gayle Schexnyder and Nancy and Michael Griffin; numerous close relatives and many friends. Frank was a loving son, husband, father, and friend, who will be dearly missed. A Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, on Wednesday, December 21, 2011, at Earthman Southwest Chapel, Stafford. The Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM, on Thursday, December 22, 2011, location pending at this time. Please call Earthman Southwest Chapel for updates. Interment will immediately follow at Houston National Cemetery with full military honors.
