__Lloyd Maynard Hicks, 66, Deepwater, died Sunday, December 20, 1998, at his home.
__Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 23, at Crossroads Nazarene Church of Deepwater. Burial will be in Englewood Cemetery, Clinton. Visitation will be at the church from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the service. Mr. Hicks will lie in state from 12 noon until 8 p. m. Tuesday at Consalus Funeral Home, Clinton.
__Mr. Hicks was born August 9, 1932 in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Benjamin E. and Hattie Mae (Bennett) Hicks. He was a paratrooper in the United States Army. On July 17, 1952 he married Dolores Eileen Russ who survives, of the home. He worked in construction and lived in Kansas City, Kansas before moving to Deepwater in 1995.
__In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Roxanne Hale and husband Russell, Debbie Gumm and husband, James Smith; two sons, Rodney Hicks, Richard Hicks and wife Leann, all of Kansas City, Kansas; a grandson, Scott Alan Gumm of the home; three sisters, Mildred Anderson, Climax Springs, Audrey Boloznik, Collins, Evelyn Payne of California and also eight additional grandchildren, Steven Hale, Marsha Hale, Mick Hicks, Rodney Hicks, Jr., Aaron Conner Smith, Matthew Colbert, Kayla Gaskey and Stacy Gaskey; one great-grandson Michael A. Hale.
__He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
