The Ellis Cemetery stones were read on 14 November 1999 by David A. Christopher. He wrote that there were many unmarked graves, estimating perhaps as many as 25. He also wrote that: "Mandy Ellis "stone" is actually located at the end of Row six; a small stone to start with. It is now broken in pieces and difficult to read. There is an unmarked grave next to Jacob, her husband, where I believe she is actually buried."
