Mary Nell Rippey, 81 of Waxahachie, passed away Monday, December 19, 2011 in Waxahachie. She was born to the late David Almand and Frances M. O'Daniel Almand on May 18, 1930 in Palmer, Texas.
A beautiful wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother will be missed. She will forever be in our hearts. She was very crafty, loved to sew and make dolls. She was also a well known restaurant owner in Waxahachie for 10 years at Rip's Barb-B-Que.
Mary is survived by her husband, William Hugh "Bill" Rippey; her children, Ronnie Rippey and his wife, Glenda, Barbara Shaw and her husband, James, Bobby Rippey and his wife, Shannon; her sister, Marjorie Allen and her husband, Bill; her sister-in-law, Glenda Almand; her grandchildren, Tammy Guzman and her husband, Alberto, Shane White and his wife, Sherrie, Jamie Hollabaugh and her husband, Keith, Stephanie and Kimberli Rippey; her great grandchildren, Cheyenne Hearon, Troy and William Goodwin, Garrett and Riley White, Jace and Jaxen Robinson and Abigayle Guzman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, David and Fannie Almand; and by her sister,Dorothy Shackleford; and also by her brother, Don Almand.
Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 23, 2011 at Lakeview Cemetery, Waxahachie.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
