Funeral services for David Glenn Gilliland will be held 2 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church of Davis with the Rev. Don Carter and the Rev. Bill Leveridge officiating. Interment will follow at the Green Hill Cemetery in Davis.
David was born on Dec. 10, 1952, in Wynnewood, Okla., to the late Sam G. and Charlotte J. (Roady) Gilliland. He died Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011, in Davis, at the age of 59 years and 10 days. David and Donna Dianne Sadler were married on Jan. 27, 1973, in Davis.
After graduating from Davis High School, David began working in construction. He spent his career as a form setter in concrete construction. Besides spending time with his grandchildren and family, the greatest enjoyment in David's life was hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Dianne; two sons, Jody Gilliland and Jeremy Gilliland and wife, Rhea, all of Davis; seven grandchildren, Larissa, Zakery, Kobey, Brennon, Sean, Micah and Ella; one brother, Jeff Gilliland of Lone Grove; nieces, Kelly Gilliland and Natalie Moss; and nephew, Lincoln Sadler.
David was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Jason; one granddaughter, Anna; as well as, one brother, Mark.
Serving as pallbearers will be Kenneth Williams, Rick Warren, Scott and Joe Gibson, Lincoln Sadler and Shane Moss. Honorary bearers will be Donald Thomas, Bill and Dadriaon Donohew, Keith Lozier, Jackie Don and Debby and Kay Carter.
Services are entrusted to Hale's Funeral Home of Davis, Okla.
