TRAMPLED BY HORSE; DIES
Thomas L. Carey, 65, resident of Sagola for the last 53 years, died Tuesday morning at the Iron Mountain General hospital as the result of injuries received April 23, when he was trampled by a horse.
He suffered external and internal injuries when he half fell beneath the hoofs of the animal.
Carey was born January 11, 1874, in Oconto, Wis. He came to this district when a boy, with his father, after whom Carey's spur, near Sagola, was named. He worked with his father in the lumbering business until 1898, when he settled in Sagola.
