Retired traveler victim of apoplexy

The funeral service for Charles B. Cross, 72, retired traveling salesman, who died suddenly of apoplexy yesterday at his home, No. 267 Holland street, will be held there tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev. Nathan E. Fuller will officiate. Interment will be in Oakwood cemetery.
Mr. Cross retired in 1916, after completing forty-eight years of service as a commercial traveler. He was born at Philadelphia, Jefferson county, and came here to live twenty-one years ago. He was a member of the Gouverneur Blue lodge and the higher bodies of the Central City consistory. Two sons, Orrin C., supervisor of the Twelfth ward, and Ladette P. Cross; a stepson, H.C. MacAfee of Flagstaff, Ariz.; a brother Alden E. Cross of Natural Bridge; a foster daughter, Miss Julia Reissig and four grandchildren, survive.
