Daniel Kelly Adair, 50, passed away suddenly in Deering, N.D. on Dec. 14.
Dan was a long-time resident of Gainesville and had recently transferred to North Dakota, working in the oil industry.
He was born in Grundy Center, Iowa, to Harry and Collene Adair.
The family moved to Gainesville in 1969 and Dan graduated from GHS in 1979.
He is survived by his son, Jody and daughter, Ryan, both of Gainesville; brother, Bruce of Grundy Center, Iowa; brother, Darryl of Horseshoe Bend; sister, Marsha Burney and brother-in-law, Sammy Burney, of Center Point; sister, Laurie White of Lewisville; sister, Janis Rowe and brother-in-law, Keith Rowe, of Plano and a large extended family.
Dan's sense of humor, zest for life and positive outlook will be greatly missed by all his friends and family.
Memorial services will be held at Clement Keel Funeral Home chapel in Gainesville at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011, followed by burial at Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the KC Hall in Gainesville, immediately after the services.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
