By 1940, Heber was settled in California and was co-owner of a rowdy tavern/restaurant establishment. With the exception of youngest sibling Dorothy, his brothers and sister Daisy had all relocated to California as well.
Heber fathered two children; the first, Jack C Randolph, was born in Kentucky in 1922 to his loving mother Grace Conroy, and later was adopted by his stepfather. Heber also fathered a daughter, Linda Phelps. She was included in Heber's obit, though at this moment I do not have her date of birth or mother's name.
After Heber's death from alcoholic cirrhosis in 1948, Daisy accompanied his body back to Oklahoma, where he was laid to rest at Fairlawn Cemetery in Elk City where their parents would follow in 1962 and 1969, and brother Adolphus "Charlie" Jr, in 1994. Three other siblings are buried in California, and the youngest in Beckham County, OK.
