Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Faith Lutheran church for a long-time Forest Lake resident Carl Oscar Anderson, 77. Mr. Anderson died Thursday evening at Memorial hospital without regaining consciousness following injuries suffered in a two-car accident on highway 61 on September 4. The Rev. Frank A. Johnson of Faith Lutheran church officiated at the funeral services at two o'clock. Interment was in the Scandinavian cemetery with Masonic rites at the graveside. Soloist Mrs. Elmer B. Johnson sang two anthems "Children of the Heavenly Father: and "In the Garden", E.A. Raymond was the organist. Carl Oscar Anderson was born in St Paul on December 2, 1885, the son of Olaus and Margrete Anderson. He came to Forest Lake with his parents while he was still an infant and lived in Forest Lake all of his life. He was a member of Faith Lutheran church where he was confirmed in 1900. He was also a member of the Masoni lodge. Mr. Anderson was a carpenter and followed that trade in Forest Lake and the surrounding area. He was never married. Surviving are five brothers and four sisters.
