Lillian B. Mims Gammon, 87, a resident of Truth or Consequences since 1951, died at her home Dec. 3, 2003.

Lillian was born in Nebraska Oct. 25, 1916 to Carl Joseph Fernquist and Tillie (Burke) Fernquist. She was a homemaker

She leaves behind one son, Jim Mims of Goodwell, Okla.; four daughters, Naomi Cellan Maxey and husband, Bill of Las Cruces, Dyanne Cellan McElroy of Los Lunas, Crystal Cellan Hendrickson of Lafayette, Colo., Su-san Ann Mims Tschappat and husband, Chris of TorC; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Ardis Marie Issacs; her first husband, Clarence Cellan; her second hus-band, James V. Mims; and her third husband, M.S. Gammon.

Lillian was a former member of the Rebekah Lodge, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, a former president of the Relief Society, a pianist, enjoyed painting and learning new techniques and enjoyed crafting, gardening and cooking.

Services were held Monday, Dec. 8, 2003 in the Cha-pel of French Mortuary.

Serving as Casket Bearers were Bill Maxey, Chris Ts-chappat, Richard Maxey, Michael Garcia, Dennis Price and Paul McElroy. Honorary Casket Bearers were Levi McElroy, Dustin McElroy, Rich Maxey and Myles Max-ey. Interment followed at Hot Springs Cemetery. Arrangements by French Mortuary & Cremation Services, Inc.
